OUR STORY

The BraeBurn is owned and operated by Beverly & Pieter van der Breggen and their eldest son Ab.
It is located at 750 Bay Avenue, South, right in Fort  Qu’Appelle. Fort Qu’Appelle is in the Qu’Appelle Valley in Saskatchewan, Canada, at the junction of Highways 10 and 35 between Echo and Mission Lakes. It’s about 70  km northeast of Regina–less than 45 minutes driving.

OUR ENVIRONMENT

The BraeBurn Inn and its owners are committed to our planet’s environment for the sake of all who exist on it.
But words are not enough anymore. It is our actions that speak the loudest. We have been doing our level best to reduce our environmental footprint. Small steps that we all take can and do make a difference along with the larger steps we take together as a society.

OUR RV PARK

Almost hidden away in the south-west corner of Fort Qu’Appelle and facing the southern hills of the Qu’Appelle Valley is the BraeBurn Inn’s RV Park with plenty of trees, grass and bush all around. Although it is in town, this RV Park feels like it’s out of town.
Sites are rented by the season only. Our season starts May 1 and ends September 30. Each site has hooks-ups for 30-amps, water and sewer as well as free WiFi.

OUR RECREATION

BraeBurn Exercise Room

There’s lots to do and see in the beautiful Qu’Appelle Valley, but for guests of the BraeBurn Inn there’s more–including an Exercise Room, common BBQ deck, sand volleyball court, and horseshoe lanes. Plus we have bocce balls, croquet set, and other outdoor equipment available to guests on request.
As for the rest of the Town of Fort Qu’Appelle and the Qu’Appelle Valley, there is so much more–from hiking and bicycling to fishing and boating on our four lakes in summer, plus skiing, skating and cross-country skiing as well as downhill skiing in winter. All within easy reach!

OUR TOUR

Check out Our Tour of the valley featuring photos Ab & Pieter have taken over the past several years. It is in three parts: Our Tour, Our Tour Page 2 and Our Tour Page 3. It follows a route coming into Fort Qu’Appelle from Highway 10, through the Fort, west along the south side of Echo Lake, a little farther west for views of Pasqua Lake, then back east along the north side of the lake including Lipton; through the Fort again, then along the north side of Mission and Katepwa Lakes before leaving the valley on Highway 10 again to go through Balcarres and past Abernethy to see the Motherwell Homestead. We call it the “Tear in the Fabric of Saskatchewan”.

OUR RULES

Photo by Bev van der Breggen

Beautiful grounds and comfortable rooms are there for your enjoyment, but rules help make that happen.
We need to be considerate of others. So we have rules about quiet time (after 11 pm), parking (assigned), smoking & vaping (outside only) and drugs and alcohol (we are not a licensed facility).
If you don’t like rules … that’s easy–stay somewhere else.
